THE DUNOLLIE APPEAL
The MacDougall of Dunollie Preservation Trust has launched an appeal in 2009 to raise £1.8million for the first phase of the Dunollie Project, which will enable us to open the house to the public for the first time in the long history of Dunollie.
Dunollie tells many stories:
- It is the seat of the Clan MacDougall.
- It is of national importance through links with Dalriada, Somerled and many other key points of Scottish history.
- It is at the heart of so much local history, from wars and rebellions to the foundation of Oban.
It will be a fabulous heritage centre for Oban, and will attract people from all over the world.
