Argyll Coast & Community Trust (ACT) Work Scheme

This project was delivered in partnership with ACT which enables workless young people, to get a foot in the door to employment by encouraging personal and skills development whilst being paid by via Skills Development Scotland initiatives.

The ACT Team brought 6 young people to Dunollie for a week in March 2016 to help us by building our new wheel chair access path to our living willow structure in ‘The Garden of Knowledge’.

 

The weather was changeable with some days colder and wetter than others but the job was completed within the planned time-scale.

We had the necessary aggregate and terraform delivered and handed over to the Team having discussed where the path needed to be.

The team thoroughly enjoyed the task and we are absolutely delighted with the result. We hope to continue to work in partnership with the ACT team.
