Discover the fascinating history of the Clan MacDougall and see some of special items from Dunollie's stunning ancient textiles collection. Explore our enchanting Woodland Grounds, walk up to the Castle Ruins and discover breath taking views on Kerrera and the Isles beyond.
Please arrive during your designated timeslot: 2pm-3pm. You are welcome to stay onsite until 4pm, afterwhich Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds will close.
Castle Ruins:
Be some of the first visitors to see inside the ancient castle ruin, after completion of Phase III Castle Conservation in Summer 2020.
Walk up to our 12th- 17th century Castle Ruins and stumble upon a site intricately linked to human presence for thousands of years. Discover the ancient stronghold of Clan MacDonald and a view that has been described as the “the best in Argyll”.
