Availability
As Dunollie operates as a daytime visitor attraction, ceremonies and private events are scheduled outwith normal hours, ensuring exclusivity and privacy for you and your guests.
Guest Numbers
Dunollie is ideally suited to smaller, intimate ceremonies of up to 40 guests. While the site can host up to 100 guests, the available covered space in the event of adverse weather can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests.
For couples planning a larger celebration, a meadow area within the grounds is available for the erection of a marquee. Marquee hire and all associated arrangements would be organised and funded directly by the hirer, offering the flexibility to create a bespoke event while remaining on site.
Events of up to 100 guests can be accommodated within a marquee setting. We therefore recommend considering weather contingency arrangements as part of your event planning.
Layout options, weather contingency plans, and practical arrangements can be discussed during the planning process to ensure the space is configured comfortably, safely, and in a way that best suits your celebration..
Weddings at Dunollie
Ceremonies are typically held within the grounds of Dunollie Castle, where the historic ruins and coastal setting create a striking and memorable atmosphere. The sense of history combined with the open sea views makes for a truly special experience.
Should the weather be unfavourable, ceremonies can be moved to our Willow Garden, which provides a partially sheltered and equally charming alternative within the estate.
Both civil and religious ceremonies are welcome, subject to the appropriate arrangements being made directly with your chosen registrar or celebrant.
