About the Event
There have been people living in the area we now call Dunollie since the very early history of humankind.
Join our guide for an immersive tour exploring the site’s long and rich history from 8000 years ago right up to the present day.
Be some of the first visitors to see inside the ancient castle ruin, after completion of Phase III Castle Conservation in Summer 2020.
Additional Information Regarding Covid-19
When arriving at Dunollie to take part in activities, please enter through the visitor car park whether you are walking, cycling or driving. There is a meeting point at the top end of the car park nearest the visitor site. Here you will be met by a member of staff to take part in your activity.
The castle tour will be delivered by our resident tour guide. Our guide will be wearing a face shield to ensure you are able hear the information on tour being delivered. This tour will be delivered in English.
Please note: the path up to the castle is steep, particularly on the descent. This activity may not be suitable for those who experience mobility issues.
You may wander around the grounds and visit the 1745 House Museum at the end of your tour. Please ensure to stay to the one-way system on place on site.
The castle tour will last for approximately 40 – 45 minutes, with time for any questions at the end of your tour. This will be an outdoor activity so please ensure to dress for the weather.
Dogs are welcome on this activity but cannot enter the 1745 House Museum. We ask that your furry friends are kept on a lead for the duration of the tour and while they are onsite at Dunollie.
Notice: The contact details you provide during booking will be used for Track and Trace if required. We will hold these details for 21 days and will then delete from our system.
If you have any questions or experience any concerns whilst on site, please let your tour guide know.
